MAP, Ministry About People, partners with area college students for a friendly Giving Tuesday Competition. Students from colleges including Auburn University at Montgomery, Alabama State University, Huntingdon College, and Troy University compete to get the most likes and shares on Facebook and Instagram, and donations to benefit MAP. From Friday, November 17 through November 29, the college students with the most combined total of likes, shares, and donations will win the first annual Giving Tuesday STAR Trophy. 

Pastor Ken Austin, Executive Director of MAP/Mercy House, and the staff invite Montgomery to support MAP and celebrate their favorite area college or student for ThanksGIVING and Giving Tuesday. MAP is a holistic ministry that provides hot meals, housing assistance, education, plus a safe, wholesome environment for young people in West Montgomery to thrive. Building on the foundation of prayer and the power of community partnerships is the key to our success. MAP offers tutoring, homework assistance, and mentoring while providing students with a safe place to go after school, plus adult education, GED, and other programs.
